Hey guys I found a Gen 1 STI on ebay and got it. I drive an actual STI so I thought what the heck why not. My friend races gas cars professionally and I have been around him but not xmods. I have a lot of questions so bare with me :)

- Do they still make parts for this version?
- Do Evo generation fit on this body style?
- How many versions are there Gen 1 and Gen 2...?
- I want to get a AWD kit and I CANNOT find the wheels that are one the sti that are on the top of the page (the gold ones)
- Lastly can someone link me to a site where I can buy for my new car?

- Also I need a case to put it in since it never came with one and any info I might need to know:)

Re: Very new to this need help

The Evo bodies (shell) will fit the chassis (wheels, electronics, ect.) if you have the corresponding front clip, which usually comes with the body.

Parts that say Evo wont work on your Gen.1 chassis, except for wheels.

1. I guess you can still find parts. All the radioshacks around me haven't sold xmod parts for a year or so now.

2. To make a EVO body fit a Gen 1 chassis you will need the front clip for the body you want and a Gen 1 rear body mount.

3. Just Gen 1 and EVO. The Evo has better electronics, steering, and suspention. While the Gen 1 has a better drive train. The electronics in the Gen 1 can be a little sensitive and the steering can leave something to be desired. But they can go pretty fast.

4. Well I just checked atomicmods and they don't have the wheels or the AWD upgrade. Your next bet would be to go to the marketplace here, or watch ebay. Xmods have been out of production for a while so the parts are starting to get scarse.

5. A really good site is Atomicmods

6. Radioshack used to sell a bag that you could store or carry xmods around in. Here is one. I have one a I like it. This one is about half of what I paid for mine. Its got enough space for about 3 cars and 3 remotes along with extra motors, screws, batteries, and more.

Hope this helps. One last thing, find a good set of rechargeable batteries. It gets expensive quick when you run alkaline cells. Also you get better performance with rechargeables.

Re: Very new to this need help

1. yes
2. yes
3. generation1 and Evolution
4 and 5. You can probably find what you're looking for at AtomicMods or on ebay...AM is the last of the retailers for a good stock of xmod parts and ebay has a number of small items.

You could also post in the buy/sell/trade here on the site for items you're lookng for.

welcome to the site.
